Celebrating Spring & Special Memories Together - April at Beeches Care Home

Welcome to Our Spring Newsletter

We hope you all had a joyous Easter celebration!

As we eagerly anticipate the sunshine, lighter evenings, and time spent in the courtyard, the blooming spring flowers are already transforming our view into a brighter, more vibrant place.

Last month was filled with joy and celebration at our Care Home, marking special occasions like birthdays, Mother’s Day, and Easter.

Our residents enjoyed a plethora of activities, from ‘Storytime’ sessions at the library to engaging projects with the community and local schools.

We’re excited to see what April has in store for us.

Warm wishes,

Katie

MOTHERS DAY

Special Thanks and Celebrations

A heartfelt thank you to the students of Coppull Primary School and Nursery for their wonderful contribution of handmade Mother’s Day cards.

Each of our ladies were thrilled to receive a personalized card, adding a special touch to their day.

Additionally, our afternoon was made memorable with the delightful performance by female vocalist, KC, complemented by a lovely buffet and sparkling wine.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Lesley, Eleanor’s daughter, for her generous donation in memory of her mother, who we sadly lost on Saturday, 23rd March.

Lesley has also graciously allowed us to share a cherished photo of Eleanor taken on Mother’s Day. Her thoughtful contribution will help fund the Easter entertainment, a program close to Eleanor’s heart, especially music.

We remember Eleanor fondly and hold her memory in our celebrations.

Marilyn was overjoyed with her personalised card.

The school children bring their homemade cards.

A Warm Welcome to Charlie: Our New PAT Dog

We’re thrilled to announce that starting mid-April, Charlie and his owner Georgie will become regular visitors to our care home.

Charlie, a charming cockapoo, is not just any dog; he’s a certified Pets As Therapy (PAT) dog, specially trained to interact with vulnerable adults.

Known for his gentle disposition and love for cuddles, Charlie is eager to meet everyone and share his warmth and affection.

We can’t wait for you all to experience the joy and comfort that Charlie brings with his visits.

A MOMENT OF JOY 😌

An Enchanting Storytime with Adam Henley

Alice and Marilyn were thrilled to attend the annual ‘Storytime’ event at the local library, a gathering that celebrates local individuals who have achieved recognition.

This year, we had the pleasure of catching up with Adam Henley, a local boy turned celebrity footballer, now playing for Chorley FC.

Adam shared insights about his career journey and graciously answered questions from both our residents and the children of Coppull Primary School.

We’re deeply thankful to the library for extending this wonderful invitation and providing us with an opportunity to connect with our community in such a meaningful way.
