Accommodation
The Beeches has 39 rooms, 16 en suite. They are comfortable and cosy.
Residents are encouraged to bring items of their own to help make their room personal and familiar. We are pleased to prepare rooms in advance of the resident’s arrival so that they immediately feel at home with familiar furniture, ornaments, pictures and photographs.
Mindful of our residents comfort the ambient temperatures are carefully maintained and monitored to ensure a comfortable environment at all times.
The Beeches is equipped with a lift and is wheelchair accessible. We are committed to providing a Safe, Stimulating and Comfortable environment.
Relaxing
The Beeches has three comfortable lounges. The main lounge is equipped with a large flat screen TV, the smaller lounges have TV and DVD/VCR but provide a more tranquil setting so that residents can enjoy the television, watch a film of their choice, or simply relax in a comfortable chair.

The dining room is bright, light and comfortable. It is equipped with well designed table chairs and tables. Helping to encourage independent living The Beeches Care Home provides easy-to-hold cutlery along with large handled cups and mugs, where required. Plates can be fitted with plate guards.

Reminiscence Room
The Beeches has a Reminiscence room which is equipped with a two-seater sofa and chairs along with lots of memory items including typewriter, record player, telephone, ironing board and various laundry items. There are also heritage picture books of town, county and country that can help to trigger nice memories and feelings. Many of the items have been donated by residents in the local community and family and friends. Residents can use the items if they wish, sit and enjoy the atmosphere, or simply take time out with family and friends.
Courtyard
The purpose built, award winning garden has wheelchair accessible pathways with colourful and sensory flowers and plants. It has a greenhouse and is equipped with chairs, tables and umbrellas. Residents can sit and take in the view or help tend the flowers if they wish.

Safety and Security
Both the home and its gardens have been designed with the safety and security of residents in mind. This means that you can enjoy all the facilities in the home – and the garden, weather permitting. Kitchens, storage areas and external doors are key pad protected.

Activities
At The Beeches Care Home, we offer a variety of activities to keep residents engaged, both individually and in groups. Our Residents Welfare Officer arranges entertainment, bingo, baking, quizzes, and one-on-one sessions for those needing extra support. Outdoor activities include bowling, gardening, and visiting our aviary. We’re also regularly visited by Macy, a therapy dog, bringing joy to many residents.
